West Bengal: A man dies after beaten up by police

West Bengal so far has recorded 10 coronavirus cases and one death. The 66 years old man was tested positive in West Bengal, Which is the 10th case of the state. the man had no travelling history of abroad but he attended a wedding in Mindapore and it us believed that he might have come in contact with the person who was positive of COVID-19. Mamata Banerjee has announced lockdown of the state and has requested all the residents to stay inside.

On Wednesday at 32-year-old man identified as Lal Swami from Howrah West Bengal went out to buy milk, he was beaten up by the police later passed away after thrashing. A local hospital reported that he was bought dead in the hospital. His family alleged that he died of the injuries, his wife said He faced police lathicharge when the personnel was clearing a gathering on the street.
