Schools and Colleges remain closed till June 30, board exam postponed

Chandigarh, April 11

Punjab government has decided to close all the educational institutions till June 30, 2020. This announcement was made by Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh while participating in the video conference of PM Modi today .

Amarinder informed the meeting that the state government had already decided to go for curfew/complete lockdown till May 1, with all educational institutions to be closed till June 30, with state Board examinations also deferred till further orders. Section 144 remains in place, along with prohibition of public service vehicles till May 1.

It may be recalled that this is only announcement made by CM today. There is no official orders / notification issued so far by 2 pm on April , 2020.
