Three New Cases of Coronavirus in Punjab


2 Cases from Mohali and 1 Case from Gurdaspur

Punjab on Tuesday reported three extra coronavirus cases from Mohali and Gurdaspur districts.

With this, Punjab’s case tally has risen to 179.

Gurdaspar reported its first case on Tuesday.

With the surfacing of the two extra coronavirus cases within the Mohali district, the district’s tally has risen to 56.

A 56-year-old lady from Jawaharpur village of Dera Bassi and a 36-year-old lady from Mundi Kharar were found to be infected with Covid-19. They have been admitted to the isolation ward of the Gian Sagar Hospital in Banur.

The blood sample of the 56-year-old lady, whose members of the family havealso been fond to be affected with the deadly Coronavirus disease. With this, the overall cases of coronavirus in Jawaharpur village has gone as high as 38.

“This would lead to their isolation in time and help in combating the coronavirus. The containment protocol is strictly followed in the village,” he added.
