Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday, concerned about the growing cases of coronavirus, ordered new guidelines in the state to curb the spread of the virus.
The CM said the capacity of indoor meetings, along with strict implementation of mask wearing and social distancing, will be limited to 100 and outdoor meetings to 200 from March 1, respectively. It will also scale up coronavirus testing to 30,000 a day.
He also allowed the DCs, if necessary, to enforce night curfews in hotspots in their districts, with a micro containment strategy to be implemented.
The Chief Minister said that a decision would be taken after March 1 on reducing occupancy in cinema halls. He said that private offices and restaurants are encouraged to reveal the last tests done for all employees.
