Punjab to start bus service from Wednesday, Haryana also ready for inter-state service

Chandigarh, May 19

Punjab CM Captain Amarinder has announced to start State bus service i Punjab from Wednesday.

He said , ” Starting Wednesday we will start running State buses along with Pvt buses/mini-buses with reduced capacity to ensure social distancing. These will move point to point to ensure health screening & sanitisation of buses & bus stands in urban areas & will start in rural areas later.

Meanwhile , Haryana government after starting bus service within the state , now prepared a plan for inter-state bus service  to Punjab , UP, Delhi , Rajsathan , MP and Uttrakhand . The state tranposrt department has sent specific proposals to the these states to allow the plying of buses.

The Haryana government has also sought such proposals from these states for plying their buses to Haryana .
